A HISTORY OF SPA

For decades SPA has been providing Penn State students with quality programming on campus. We’re here to make the campus experience next level and work tirelessly to bring new and upcoming artists, thoughtful and unique speakers, and entertaining experiences to you.

2021

SPA returned to in person events and welcomed students back to State College with its first LightsUP festival in collaboration with Movin’ On

2020

Nearly all of SPA’s events were held virtually in partnership with WPSU.  Virtual programming allowed SPA to push its boundaries, bringing events such as Jason Derulo, Seth Meyers, Leslie Odom Jr., Monet X Change, Ke$ha, and Josh Peck to students.

2019

In March, the pandemic hit the US, cancelling many of SPA’s spring events. Virtual events such as Diplo and Saquon Barkley took their place.

2017

SPA’s Entertainment committee was split into the Concerts committee and the Special Events committee.
