SPA COMMITTEES
Our teams are committed to bringing the best in entertainment to our campus. Attend a meeting to get involved and see your ideas come to life!
Concerts
Committee members help brainstorm and vote on which artists we bring for Penn State students. Members help set up our venues and also help with wrist banding, line control, and monitoring the crowd day-of-show.
Hospitality
Committee members work to ensure that all acts and individuals we bring to Penn State are safe and comfortable while they are here! This includes setting up the HOS room, shopping for the acts’ needs, and working security for the act.
Lectures
Committee members plan and bring distinguished speakers to speak at Penn State, and they also run all aspects of the event themselves.
Logistics
Committee members work to ensure that the events run smoothly through leading load-in and load-out, lights, production, and delegating event security and other tasks to fellow SPA members on the day of events.
Marketing
Committee members design event posters, promo items, and social media posts. The committee also brainstorms new ways to spread the word about our events to students! Members on the Spaparazzi Team subcommittee capture events to create content for marketing.
Membership
Committee members come up with ways to create a social environment for SPA members through team-building activities and socials. They also brainstorm ways to recruit new SPA members and plan a semesterly banquet for active members.
Noontime
Noontime is a bi-weekly local artist concert series! Committee members work together tofind smaller, up-and-coming musicians to bring to campus!
Special Events
Committee members plan novelty events such as laser tag, silent disco, and escape rooms for students. They also bring comedians once or twice a semester. The Special Events committee has a similar process of planning and working the event as concerts.
